NSSA employer registration cost in Zimbabwe

$45P4 and P2 lodged for you

Short answer

Amashad charges $45 to register your business as an employer with the National Social Security Authority. That covers the P4 employer registration, the P2 employee schedule and guidance on your monthly contribution obligations. NSSA does not charge a registration fee, but monthly contributions apply once registered.

Registration with NSSA is compulsory from the moment you employ your first person in Zimbabwe — it is not optional and it is not deferred until you can afford it. Late registration attracts penalties calculated from the date the first employee started.

The registration fee is small; the value is in getting the employee schedule and contribution basis right so that your first monthly return does not generate an assessment query.

Frequently asked questions

When must I register with NSSA?
As soon as you engage your first employee. Registration is a statutory obligation for every employer in Zimbabwe, regardless of company size.
Do directors count as employees for NSSA?
Directors who draw a salary are generally treated as employees and must be included in the schedule. Non-executive directors receiving fees only are treated differently.
What does NSSA compliance affect?
An NSSA compliance certificate is routinely required for PRAZ tenders, corporate supplier vetting and some licence renewals.
Is there a penalty for late registration?
Yes. NSSA can backdate contributions to the date your first employee started and add penalties and interest.
