The National Social Security Authority (NSSA) requires every employer in Zimbabwe to register within 30 days of engaging their first employee. Registration is done on the P4 employer form, with the P2 schedule listing each employee, and covers both the Pension and Other Benefits Scheme (POBS) and the Accident Prevention and Workers Compensation Scheme (APWCS).
Once registered you receive an NSSA employer number and must submit monthly returns and contributions. An up-to-date NSSA position is also a prerequisite for a tax clearance certificate, PRAZ supplier registration and most tender submissions.
